This Product Line Manager (Sound Management) for Automotive
Seeking a talented Product Line Manager (PLM) to support Sound Management. In this role, you will be responsible for current and future product management of a select group of products within Automotive Systems Division and Active Sound Management (ASM). The PLM provides market-driven direction for product development, brand strategy, positioning, pricing, cost control, etc.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
oDevelop category product plans and roadmaps
oManages and maximizes category revenue
oImplement strategies to control costs
oCreate Pricing model(s) & provides assistance with responses to customer RFQs
oManage naming and overall product branding
oCreate value proposition statements and communicates to customer management teams
oDevelop and implement distinctive product positioning and/or segmentation strategies (4-P for audio) for assigned products
oManage product lifecycles (product changes and evolution from concept to end-of-life)
oProvide OEM customer engagement strategies and priorities and go-to-market business models
oImplements promotions & communications plans (working with customer teams)
oManages category/product-line volume and revenue forecasting
oSupports category Investment requests
Must have the following skills, abilities and knowledge:
oSignificant years of progressive technical and business experience in areas of product management, engineering, and operations finance, strategic marketing, program management, technical sales or strategic planning.
oExperience in automotive electronics; specifically audio, active noise reduction or NVH, is strongly preferred.
oKnowledge of other automotive subsystems including powertrain, body and interiors is desired.
oInternational business experience and work with large, automotive OEMs is a strong plus.
oLeadership and organizational skill
oAbility to work across business disciplines and functions particularly products and marketing
oStrong business and customer orientation with emphasis on value propositions
oAutomotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier thinking and business case development
oLong-term strategic and integrative thinking with a global perspective
oStrong brand management orientation and competence
oAbility to travel 20%Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
