This position is in the ID Products business unit, our fastest growing business unit, which generates >$140 million of high margin revenue from customers worldwide. The ID products business unit is an innovative, fast paced environment, releasing multiple new products yearly, to continue our high rate of 37% growth. The Role:
As a ID Field Product Marketing Manager, this successful candidate will join the Product Marketing team of the ID Products Business Unit. This position will focus on growing market share in the Americas automation market, and will provide input into product roadmaps, new product specifications, collateral development, competitive analysis and execution of product launch plans.
Essential Functions:
Act as the subject matter expert in the features and applications of assigned products including hands-on work at competitive run-offs and strategic sales opportunities.
Advise sales leadership on commercial strategy for penetrating strategic OEMs and end users within the factory automation market.
Provide sales support for all Cognex Products into factory automation applications.
Monitor the competitive landscape, and provide competitive technical and market analysis for Sales and the Business Unit
Create and provide sales and training material for direct and channel sales, and work with Regional Marketing Department to create lead generation and product collateral
Work with the Director of ID Products Marketing, Vice President of ID Products and Engineering management to determine the product development roadmap.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong technical skills and desire to work hands-on with products in a customer environment.
Willing and able to travel 50-70%
Strong presentation skills and work ethic 5. Strong customer focus
Minimum education and work experience required:
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; MBA helpful.
Minimum 2 of years in technical sales or product marketing
Experience in factory automation, auto ID or machine vision technology is desired
