PHYSICAL SCIENTIST
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing methods, techniques, and concepts of physical science and textile technology to conduct protective clothing research and development studies. Specialized experience includes:
Providing technical guidance on protective materials and systems in relation to protective quality, maintenance, functional requirements, fire and thermal properties, chemical agent protection, functional finish requirements, and shade; Conducting material tests using specialized test equipment and instruments; Preparing comprehensive technical reports including data analysis, findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
